Church has always been a special place to me. It is where I met God, learned to serve him and have raised my children. I can't imagine life without the church.
Yet I understand that there will always be places that have a church feel because the Spirit moves there.
For me one such place with the 7th floor of Baylor Hospital. There we spent one month as we prayed and waited for Gracie to be able to come home. We were removed from our church for the first time in our married life as we focused 100 percent on Gracie.
Yet God set up church in the 7th floor waiting room. There we spent time as a family, alone from the distractions of other parts of our world. There we met people walking a similar path. There we laughed and cried with people who were only days prior complete strangers. God drew us together with a common bond. It was church and I will never forget it.
